2019 Annual Charity Golf Day Raises over £13,100

A fantastic £13,650 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support during 2019’s Annual Charity Golf Day, held at Hanbury Manor, bringing the total raised over the years to just over a fantastic £78,500.

The 22nd May 2019 was a great day, warm and sunny, and with 33 teams it was the biggest yet. The winning team was Webro Cables & Connectors with 99 points and the best individual was Stu Miller from team ExcelRedstone, with 44 points – congratulations.

Once again there was a Longest Drive competition, won by John Byron, Team Splice Group, as well as Nearest the Pin, won my Gavin Miller, Team ACI and trick shot challenges, won by Richard Watson, Darren King and George Dykes. Additionally, the simulator nearest the pin was won by Darren King.

The evening kicked off with a three-course dinner, a raffle and auction. Tremendous thanks to our auction donors – David Bowles (Technical Resources), Jerry Mills (Mills Ltd.) and Peter Krovina (Comms Centre).
